As announced in previous communications, the rates for zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) in Flanders and in the Brussels-Capital Region will be adjusted on January 1, 2026.
The rates consist of two types of parameters:
The parameter related to the external cost charge remains set at zero euro cents until December 31, 2029 (for Flanders and the Brussels-Capital Region).
The other part (the infrastructure component) of the kilometer charge was reduced by 100% in 2024–2025 and will be adjusted to 80% on January 1, 2026 (planning for the following years: 60% for 2027, 40% for 2028, and 20% for 2029).
In the table below, you will find the new ZEV rates that will apply starting from 01/01/2026:

In Wallonia (Sofico), ZEV remain classified in the EURO VI emissions category.
The measures applied were introduced with a view to encouraging the greening of the truck fleet driving on our roads.
